Our Mission
Our goal is to activate, organize and support care work in our communities. We reject the hierarchies of charity and service models. With a foundation in mutual aid, we hope to replace existing racist, ableist and transphobic infrastructures with long-term, stable caregiving relationships and ongoing accountability. To do this, we will provide a framework for communication and a platform for exchange of knowledge related to care. We ask our care workers to commit to not calling the police.
Caregiving is an intimate act, one that involves trust and understanding, often at people’s most vulnerable moments.

Care is not a binary. As a mutual aid project, we encourage disabled people to interact with and contribute to care pods and hubs as they can, noting that this will be different for everyone. If you wish to join, please fill out the mutual aid form below. We will get back to you as soon as possible. If you are or know a non-English or Limited English Proficiency speaker, someone who speaks a sign language, or if you need access support and would like to join, please still contact us to let us know, by calling us at (971) 209-2954. We can interpret to/from English, French, Spanish, and Russian, and we will do our best to connect them with an interpreter that will facilitate their access to information on this website as well as filling out the form. If this person does not speak any of these four languages, we will do our best to connect them with a person who speaks their language.
